By TOM WILLIAMS The Ocean City Youth Athletic Association’s Little League all star team defeated Hammonton, 7-1, on Monday at Harry Vanderslice Memorial Field in a battle between two teams that had won their opening games in District 16 pool play. Pitchers Evan Taylor and Colin Thompson combined to limit the Hammonton hitters. Hammonton had defeated Lower Cape May, 15-0, in its first game while the OCYAA had defeated Absecon, 12-2.
