Both the OCYAA and Upper Township lost in District 16 Little League action tonight.

Ocean City lost to Northfield, 6-2, and Upper was beaten by Hammonton, 9-2. That loss was Upper Township’s second in the double elimination tournament and eliminated Upper.

OCYAA will now host Hammonton on Saturday at 5:30 at the Harry Vanderslice Complex. The winner of the Ocean City-Hammonton game will play at Northfield on Monday night. The loser will be eliminated.

The winner of the District 16 championship, which will be decided by the middle of next week, will begin play in the Section 4 Tournament with five other district champions on Saturday, July 13. The entire Section 4 Tournament will be played in Absecon.
