COLUMN: The six-decade play-by-play list

By TOM WILLIAMS

Prime Events begins its live video streaming of basketball on Saturday when Tim Whitworth brings his Clearview boys team (3-3) to the Dixie Howell Gymnasium to face John Bruno’s Raiders (5-1).

Harry Sachs will join me on the gym’s media platform for the live stream and it will mark a few weeks after the 60th anniversary of my first play-by-play experience. If memory is true, that first basketball play-by-play broadcast was Oakcrest at Holy Spirit in December 1964 on WOND Radio with Tom Lamaine.

Harry and I have worked together often and he brings his basketball knowledge to the live stream. It got me thinking – how many different analysts have I worked with through the six decades. So, I made up a list.

Here it is – in alphabetical order.
