Looking at the NJSIAA Football Strength Index in the pre-season

The NJSIAA pre-season Football Strength Index has been announced.

These pre-season ratings are generally based on last year’s performance and will be adjusted each week based on the results of games. The Index is an important part of the United Power Ratings that determine which teams qualify for the NJSIAA post-season football playoffs and where they are seeded.

The highest Strength Index in the state is 94.29 by Bergen Catholic.

The highest among South Jersey teams is 91.50 by Toms River North.

The highest in the West Jersey Football League is 85.01 by Delsea.

The highest by a Cape-Atlantic League school is 78.89 by Mainland.

75.95 – St. Augustine

69.94 – St. Joseph

67.97 – Atlantic City
