Since 2002 at Wildwood High School (except for the COVID years 2020 and 2021) Prime Events has conducted all star basketball games between the top seniors from the Cape-Atlantic League. The event actually started in 1989 by the CAL but stopped for three years after 1998.

Today, 39 of the top seniors will play their final games in their high school uniforms in the 20th All Star Saturday. Here is what you need to know.

Date: Today – March 11th.

Location: Ocean City Intermediate School Gymnasium – 18th Street & Bay Avenue.

Admission is $6.00 at the door. Proceeds benefit Edythe Selvagn Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Schedule:

5pm – Calvi Electric CAL Girls All Star Game (Beth Hartman Memorial 3-Point Shootout at halftime)

7pm – Dixie Howell Memorial CAL Boys All Star Game (Beth Hartman Memorial 3-Point Shootout pre-game)

At halftime of the boys game, the girls 3-point champion and boys 3-point champion will face off in a showdown.

The seven boys and seven girls who will compete in the 3-point shootout are identified in the rosters, below.

During each game, the 2023 Boo Pergament Memorial Awards will be presented to the Most Improved Players in the Cape-Atlantic League.

Legends on the Bench: In the Calvi Electric Girls Game a legendary CAL coach will join each current coaching staff. On the Team Betson bench will be former Ocean City High School coach Pat Dougherty and on the bench with Team Lantz will be former Atlantic City High School coach Joe Fussner.
